Annually almost 1000 youth and leaders attend the Virginia United Methodist Men’s Scouting Fellowship at the Virginia Methodist Conference Center in Blackstone, Virginia. The event is open to any Boy Scouts and Girl Scout units.
Those attending enjoy the opportunity to work on projects that will lead to rank advancement, while practicing traditional scouting games and activities in a camping atmosphere.

I found information on the 2012 Boy Scout Merit Badge Camp at http://www.blackstoneretreat.com/ but it would appear that this web page is more a work in progress. At http://bcrcva.com/groups/boy-scout/ the date on this page is 2010. If you would be kind enough to send to me the correct link, or update the links on this page, I would appreciate the assistance as I am sure would many others. Our Troop 16 is planning its activities for the fall and winter. Someone may wish to correct the spelling of “Aanual”. Thank you for your assistance.
Hi Mr. Nicolay, Thank you for inquiring about the Boy Scout Merit Badge Camp held here each year. I completely agree with you regarding that website. Unfortunately we have nothing to do with that site. I also know the gentleman in charge seems to be very busy throughout the entire year.
So here is the information I know about. It will be held this year the weekend of November 2 – 4, 2012.
You can probably print out the form that is on that site and mail in with checks. I know some troops have already done that.
